Bruce’s Bio!

Bruce Robert Wood grew up studying art in the studios of his parents, author and illustrator Audrey and Don Wood, and the studio of his grandfather, Edwin Brewer. He attended California Institute of the Arts in 1991, where he studied drama, but also advanced his lifelong interest in computer art. In 1993, that interest drew Bruce to be among the first to enroll at the innovative San Francisco State Multi-Media Center, where he pursued specialized studies in animation and 3-D modeling.

Bruce has illustrated over twenty book covers, making him the fifth generation of professional artists in his family.

Bruce also modeled for the boy in the books: Quick as a CricketTickleoctopus, and King Bidgood’s in the Bathtub.
